Virginia, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan, and Texas, we maintain 14 precision sheeters, 9 guillotine trimmers, 4 carton packing lines, and 2 slitter rewinders within 450,000 combined square feet of manufacturing and warehousing space.

What you will do:


Scheduling of Operations

  • Communicate with Customer Service, Production, Inventory Control, and Logistics:
  • Available production time, paper arrival, specific shipping times
  • Status of production
  • Build and maintain the schedule
  • Notify Shift Supervisors of possible problems/issues in upcoming schedule
  • Select available sheeted stock
  • Select best fit rollsize taking into consideration number of outs and drops
  • Run like board types and setups together
  • Include any necessary notes or messages pertaining to orders
  • Create job packets

Logistics & Distribution

  • Organize the daily flow of shipments for cost effective, timely deliveries, pool, LTL, T/L and expedited
  • Gathers competitive carrier pricing and other pertinent transportation information and report it to management
  • Makes recommendations regarding negotiations with carriers for approval, securely maintains pertinent carrier information
  • Maintains carrier contracts providing price protection among other rules of commerce
  • Continuously improve methods and procedures that will improve the distribution function with customers and the coordination of setting up accounts
  • Assists in the preparation of KPI reports, maintains dashboards and reporting mechanisms, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting, evaluating freight costing procedures, onetime deliveries, and other key metrics
  • May coordinate carrier availability and ensure timely and accurate shipping documents based on production schedules and product availability.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate shipping documents
  • Furnish various reports to management to evaluate freight costing procedures
  • Responsible for filing freight claims in a manner to protect our interests
  • Purchases and maintains inventories of production supplies
  • Negotiate, purchase, and maintain inventories of internal and external skid order requirements

Problem Solving

  • Advises management of all issues that may inhibit expected job performance
  • Acts in a manner consistent with company values and attitudes
  • Develop knowledge base in lean concepts, with the learned ability to participate in lead problem solving activities to drive continuous improvement in area of responsibility.

What you will need:


  • Logistics Degree or minimum 5 years equivalent work experience in the logistics field
  • A demonstrated understanding of the transportation industry and the ability to negotiate with carriers strongly preferred
  • Verifiable experience with the use of transportation tracking and scheduling tools strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of prior demonstrated experience in scheduling production/mfg. areas to meet business demand
  • Preferred 2+ years of prior working experience with the following sheeting/cutting technologies:
  • Jagenberg, Synchro
  • Marquip, Wizard
  • Seybold, Guillotine or Ream Cutter
  • Strong detailorientation required, with high degrees of accuracy
  • A working knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office products
  • Intermediate Excel skills strongly desired
  • Strong organizational, communication skills written and oral
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to speak and understand English
  • Some mental, visual, physical fatigue from computer terminal use.
  • Mix of office and manufacturing plant environments.
  • Frequent presence in manufacturing environment involving highspeed equipment, high noise levels, heat, and cold and mill environments.
  • Ability to sit for most of an 8hour shift
  • 45+ hours/week
  • Occasional extra hours to meet work demands
  • Lifting & bending, may climb stairs, walk on uneven flooring, prolonged sitting
