    Cloud Engineer Internship

    Role Overview:
    Current students with a passion for Cybersecurity and software skills in python, Java, Golang, C/ C++

    Role Overview:

    10-week internship program designed to give individual training and real-work exposure to the day to day working within the (designated team)at Trellix. You will work both as a functioning member of the team and be assigned a personal project that will be presented at the end of the program.

    In the age of Digital transformation, collaboration software and tools are the most relevant threat vector. This includes email security and enterprise application protection.

    Trellix has the best-in-class Collaboration Security platform with Email Security Cloud and IVX cloud products. The candidate will work on cutting-edge cloud technologies and security products providing protection to Fortune 500 customers from Banking, Finance, Healthcare and other industries.

    This position will report to the senior management of Collaboration security and develop and maintain Collaboration Security products and Infrastructure.

    For this position we are only considering candidates that are local to the Tampa, FL or Plano, TX areas. While the role will be hybrid in nature, in office work is required and relocation assistance is not being offered.

    About the role:

    The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cloud infrastructure, actively looking at relevant metrics and notifications from various observability platforms, and taking actions to maintain telco-grade reliability for the services.

    The candidate will work closely with development, test, and DevOps teams worldwide to make relevant decisions and actions.

    The candidate is expected to have the following skills:
    • Classwork, Projects, or relevant experience working on Cloud platforms and technologies, especially on the AWS
    • Coding proficiency with Python, C, and C++
    • Interest in cybersecurity with relevant classwork or projects.
    About you:
    • You are a rising second, third or fourth year university/college level through postgraduate level student looking to build your career within the cybersecurity field
    • You have a specific interest or are working towards your major in the (team name/description) field
    • You are able to work in one of our office locations or successfully work in a remote environment
    • You are able to complete a 12-week program without interruption or extended planned absence
    • You do not require sponsorship to work in the United States

    Compensation:

    Intern roles are paid an hourly rate of $25.00 per hour in the US. Internships are scheduled as full time roles working between 30-40 hours per week.
