THE VENUE:
Legends Hospitality is proud to Partner with Circle Line Cruises, New York's oldest provider of chartered sightseeing cruises, in delivering a premium hospitality experience to guests.
In addition to daily cruises on six sailing vessels throughout the city, Circle Line hosts various special events cruises, including a New Year's Eve and Fourth of July celebration and charters for private parties and events.
THE ROLE
The Catering/ Events Supervisor is primarily responsible for the successful onsite execution of various events including internally produced, private, and special events.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Catering/ Events Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing set-up and clean-up for all banquet functions to provide guests with the best possible service.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the planning, organizing and execution of all event functions.
- Responsible for the inventory of equipment, small wares, disposables, and beverages.
- Lead dayofcoordination and execution of all events (loadin, set up, execution, and load out)
- Supervise warehouse team during the setup and breakdown of events.
- Coordinate the movement of food, beverages, and equipment for all events.
- Greet clients in charge and respond to requests.
- Speak at preshift meetings prior to events to inform staff about event particulars and expectations.
- Oversee general cleaning tasks using standard products as assigned to adhere to health standards.
- Attend and document weekly event meetings with Sales Department
- Assist with maintaining an exceptional relationship with our partners.
- Check with Culinary team for any lastminute changes.
- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
- May be required to work extended and nontraditional hours (nights, weekends, & holidays as necessary)
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills customerfocused with a professional phone manner and ability to interact with a variety of clients
- Ability to perform under pressure and problem solve quickly
- Ability to interact with coworkers in order to assure compliance with company service standards.
- Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
- Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items.
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must be able to read, speak and write English Language in order to communicate with guests.
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing 1030 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including: constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.

COMPENSATION
$24.00/Hourly
