Description
As a Warehouse Worker, you will be an essential part of our logistics team, responsible for handling, storing, and distributing products efficiently within our warehouse.
Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and dedication to safety will contribute to the smooth operation of our warehouse and the satisfaction of our customers.
Responsibilities:
Receiving and Storing:
Receive incoming shipments of goods and verify their accuracy against packing slips or purchase orders.
Unload trucks and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment safely and efficiently.
Inspect and record the condition of received items, noting any discrepancies or damages.
Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper inventory management practices are followed.
Picking and Packing:
Retrieve items from storage areas based on pick lists, customer orders, or requisitions.
Ensure accuracy in picking by matching items with order specifications and verifying quantities.
Pack orders securely and appropriately for shipment, using packaging materials and techniques to prevent damage during transit.
Label packages with shipping information, barcodes, and other required documentation.
Shipping and Distribution:
Prepare outgoing shipments for delivery or pickup by carriers, ensuring all necessary paperwork and documentation are completed accurately.
Load trucks or containers with packaged goods, optimizing space utilization and securing loads for safe transportation.
Coordinate with shipping and receiving personnel to schedule deliveries and pickups according to priority and customer requirements.
Inventory Control:
Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
Update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) or other tracking software as items are received, stored, picked, or shipped.
Housekeeping and Safety:
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to property.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and report any safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in warehouse operations or a similar role preferred.
Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is a plus.
Basic math skills and the ability to read and interpret documents such as packing slips, pick lists, and shipping labels.
Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as counting, picking, and packing.
Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

$ $24.33 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
