Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of nursing and allied healthcare programs such as; Vocational Nurse, Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound Technology), Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology, Medical Imaging, RN Nursing Program (RN to BSN Pathway) Psychiatric Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, Medical Assistant, Physical Therapist Assistant, Nurse Assistant and Dental Assistant.

Admissions Assistant at our
San Jose, CA campus.
Basic Function
The Admissions Assistant supports the Admissions Advisor and Admissions Department administratively and actively in the admissions process of enrollment. The assistant will aid in reviewing and confirming applicant requirements and background information provided.
In addition to supporting the admissions activities, the admissions assistant is the initial interface for potential students and is important to the overall image of the campus (professionalism, credibility, etc.).
Initial questions are answered and determinations are made to properly screen and direct calls whether they are prospective students, clinical sites, partners, vendors, employees, or active students.
The Admissions Assistant will answer basic questions and screen initial applicants to ensure they understand program requirements and then enter their information into the Admissions Database.
Those people not initially ready to explore an education with Gurnick will be placed in the lead pipeline for "parallel path" activities (lead nurturing) - invites to future events / seminars, educational newsletters, etc.
It is critical that any promises / commitments made for information are noted in the Admissions Database's "to do list" and followed through on in a timely way.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree, Bachelors Degree Preferred
- Experience working within an academic admissions environment
- Recruitment, interviewing and selection skills and experience
- Experience working with an applicant tracking system
- Strong interpersonal skills developed within a counseling and advisory capacity
- Excellent time management, detailorientation and team player skills
Hourly Range, Full-Time:
$19.00-$24.00
Pay:
$ $24.00 per hour
