JOB SUMMARY

Position Title:
Coordinator of First 10 (Education Team)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES

Shared Services:

  • Engage Early Learning Partners in needs assessment.
  • Develop and support implementation of shared services to build capacity.
  • Be knowledgeable of early learning models, enrollment and vacancies.
  • Develop and maintain strong community partnerships.

Professional Development:

  • Pilot countywide professional development and training events for early learning partnerships.
  • Build and plan collaborative professional development and opportunities for early learning and districts.

Advocacy:

  • Participate in advocacy efforts around early education.
  • Communicate with stakeholders at multiple levels around expansion of advocacy efforts at the early childhood level.

Program Evaluation:

  • Evaluation of current program tools for applicability and reliability.
  • Develop tracking systems through and across program offerings.
  • Organize data collection to meet all program requirements.
Collaboration and Leadership

  • Collaborate with Director of Community Partnership on big picture strategy for Frist 10, incorporating elements of researchbased programs.
  • Lead work for intentional collaboration within early learning network.
  • Establish and maintain effective and consistent communication with partners and staff.
  • Schedule and lead Early Learning Network meetings.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood/human Services, or related field.
Or

  • Associate degree in early childhood/human services, or related field
  • Two years combined work experience related to families in education, social services, health services or related outreach work.
