Richards Plumbing and Heating Co has an immediate opening for an assistant project manager on a multiple-year wastewater treatment project.

This position will be full-time, and in-person at a location in Staten Island, NY.

The specific duties of this position are:
While working under the direction of a Project Manager or Project Executive:

• To perform daily project management activities such as:
• Documenting daily progress of construction work
• Analyzing and updating schedule updates including twoweek lookaheads, sixweek lookaheads, and monthly CPM schedule updates
• Monitoring and controlling a safety program including writing and managing JHAs, Toolbox Talks, and a HASP.
• To work jointly with a trade superintendents to procure materials and tools for the performance of the work
• To attend meetings with the client, with subcontractors, and with joint stakeholders in the work
• To be present during all work hours, and to set an example and a pace for the performance of this work. The APM should be expected to work onsite beginning at 6:30 every morning, sharp.
• To have a dynamic and expressive personality so that the project team sees good leadership from the management level.
• To help create existing condition drawings to document current conditions in an operable wastewater treatment facility.
• To help create shop/fabrication drawings for use in the mechanical construction process.
• To help maintain record drawings and asbuilt drawings throughout the construction process.
• To document daily progress of the construction project through the use of photographs, daily reports, and marking of plans.
• To support the project team in the installation of large scale mechanical and electrical components in a dynamic industrial wastewater facility.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure successful integration of new mechanical systems into larger systems.
• To perform all other duties as may be delegated to you by the Project Manager.

Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred, but not necessary.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, including telephone skills and inperson meeting skills.
