***: TWU Local 100 - NYCT Training and Upgrade Fund is seeking a dynamic Program Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for a tech-savvy individual with high proficiency in program coordination, administrative support, and communications. We seek an individual with strong business knowledge in the non-profit management, education, or public sector is preferred. The Program Coordinator role exists to promote ongoing member communication, participation, and certification in the courses and programs provided by the Fund.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Register members for courses, conduct individual information sessions and prepare course certificates for members
  • Provide members with course information and answer member questions on Fund programs
  • Conduct intake assessments for members, monitor attendance and waiting list(s), and mail information to members
  • Coordinate all aspects of the Transit Certificate Program.
  • Answer member questions, conduct orientation, and prepare course certificates upon completion.
  • Communicate (written and verbal) with Murphy Institute on program needs.
  • Audit classes throughout the program.
  • Support creation of course catalogs and design flyers for Fund programs and courses each semester
  • Assist with classroom and instructor setup including print notes and provide access to classroom material.
  • Assist team members of the Fund with other necessary or timesensitive duties.
  • Provide reception desk coverage for scheduled evening courses.
  • Coordinate with Fund's Director, TUF Program team to ensure brand consistency across all communication, digital or print.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • College Degree and three years of related work experience
  • Moderate understanding of union member needs and workforce training
  • Strong communication skills and positive customer service attitude
  • Effective time management and ability to followup with members in a timely manner
  • High level of responsibility and fast learner
  • Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office and prior experience with a member database system
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of member information

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


The position requires the ability to travel locally between venues, and light lifting when assisting team members during classroom set-up.

The physical requirements for the daily administrative responsibilities of the position are considered normal and standard of an office setting (i.e. printing, typing, answering phones, etc.)


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:


The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily in and outside the office setting and may not follow a traditional M-F, 9 am - 5 pm schedule.

This individual will occasionally be requested to visit educational institutions offsite and work overtime and weekends for scheduled or special program events.


Pay:
$ $25.11 per hour
