- Performs pretest and operational (functional) testing; alignment; and/or calibration of highly complex pneumatic, electronic, and DDC systems, front end devices, components, and/or subassemblies.
- Replaces, repairs, adjusts, configures, and/or modifies pneumatic, electronic, and DDC industrial control systems, front end devices, components, and/or subassemblies.
- Downloads and uploads programing to replacement devices/controllers/components.
- Performs preventive maintenance on electronic, pneumatic, and DDC systems to include disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration.
- Utilizes safety and security practices and procedures following established rules and regulations and maintains a safe, clean, and secure work environment.
- Minimum 5 years' commercial / industrial experience is required.
- Must demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through training and/or experience to perform the duties described above.
- Accredited certificates of training from Johnson Controls or SIEMENS or approved trainers of those manufacturers' controls training school(s) is required to be granted access to the base controls network. System access will be revoked if training certificates are not provided with-in 6 months of assuming the position.
- Minimal training requirements includes the following:
- Fundamentals course; Johnson Controls-Fundamental Control Strategies for HVAC Systems Course 215 (or current curriculum equivalency course)
- For access to Talon systems; Cochrane Supply –Niagara Operations course (or current curriculum equivalency course).
- For access to Metasys Systems; Johnson Controls-Metasys System Extended Architecture (MSEA) for Building Operators Course 388 (or current curriculum equivalency course).
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.
- Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc.
