Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Seafood Clerk.

As a Seafood Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring the highest quality seafood products are available for purchase.

Responsibilities:

Package, weigh, and label seafood products according to established guidelines
Assist customers in selecting seafood products and provide recommendations on cooking methods and recipes
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the seafood department, including display cases and storage areas
Receive, inspect, and rotate seafood inventory to ensure freshness and quality
Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to prevent crosscontamination and maintain product integrity
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new seafood offerings and promotions
Assist with food production tasks as needed, such as filleting fish or shucking oysters
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a seafood department or similar role
Knowledge of seafood varieties, cuts, and cooking techniques
Strong knife skills and ability to handle seafood products with precision
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Basic understanding of food safety regulations and practices
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time
