Fun Club After-School Site Coordinator


Under the direction of the Executive Director and Child Care Director will serve as a member of the Club's management team.

Their direct responsibility will be for one after-school program site, located at one of 5 elementary schools located in the Billerica District.

- be able to multi-task, and have a 'can do', positive attitude
- be able to take direction and constructive criticism and use it positively
- have the knowledge of or ability to learn all regulations required by The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC)


Minimum Requirements:

The Site Coordinator must bring to the position an appropriate background of education and experience to be able to carry out the mission and objectives of the Club by meeting the following requirements:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent,
  • Have a driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Availability to work Monday-Friday from 11:30am to 6pm. Schedule may vary on school vacation weeks and noschool days
  • Have some creditbearing or equivalent coursework in Categories of Study relevant to the administration and programming for school age children, and
  • Have experience as a Group Leader, Lead Teacher, or Large Family Child Care Provider.
  • Suitable BRC
  • At least 23 years old
  • 1 year of supervised work experience or one practicum (this can be reduced to 9 months with Bachelor's Degree or Associate's
Degree in any field; to 6 months with Bachelor's in early education)


Responsibilities
Site Coordinators are responsible for the day to day on-site oversight and operation of the program, including daily coordination of the


Out-of-School time program at the assigned site, including daily attendance oversight, monitoring program flow and structure, and communicating effectively with children, families, staff, and the Childcare Director.

Site Coordinators assist the Childcare Director with supervising and training Group Leaders and Assistant Leaders.

An Educator in the role of Site Coordinator must be able to effectively communicate with children, families, staff, and community liaisons.

The Site Coordinator must remain on site at all times during hours of operation.

Daily Job Requirements:
Supervision and direction of children for indoor and outdoor activities, implementing and maintaining routines providing a safe, fun, respectful, and caring environment for all students

Daily activities include:

Providing nutritious snacks, developing and implementing a well-rounded creative curriculum, sports, free-play options, homework help, and other enrichment activities geared towards providing youth with opportunities for growth and exploration.

Observation of students for identifying student growth and writing annual progress reports

When neither the Assistant Director nor Program Director is on-site or available, the Site Director will be responsible for programmatic decision-making

$ $23.00 per hour
