    Title: Sr Software Engineer (Java / .Net / C#) - (W2 Contract)

    Location: Seattle, WA

    Work Location: Onsite

    Duration: 6 Months

    Job Type: Contract

    Pay rate: $60-60$/hr.

    Job Description:

    Note:

    • Not c2c, this is on W2 contract only.
    • Relocation is not allowed
    • An Engineer 2 is part of a key team of Technology professionals that applies scientific, mathematical and social principles to design, build, and maintain technology products, devices, systems and solutions. These technology products and solutions provide amazing customer experiences while meeting the needs of the business. The scope, responsibility and accountability at this level supports infrastructure and operational components, applications, device software, services or networks with minimal supervision.
    • Credit Technology designs, develops, and maintains systems that support our credit customers from new account acquisitions to account maintenance including online and mobile interfaces, through fraud detection and payment collection. We work closely with our business partners using Agile processes in a DevOps model that focuses on continuous improvement. We utilize technologies such as Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, and AWS to provide these foundations. We focus on automation and continuous integration and deployment to deliver quality results quickly.

    A day in the life...

    • Design and collaborate with local and partner teams.
    • Work independently while demonstrating a bias for action and flexibility to evolving business needs.
    • Create quality, testable code and maintain a high bar for code quality, testing and automation while finding opportunities to continuously improve them.
    • Test all scenarios and conform to quality and security standards
    • Participate in design and code review to ensure quality and testability of feature code
    • Understand, identify, measure performance and success of features
    • Identify performance issues; apply knowledge of security coding practices and secure system fundamentals (e.g., cross-site scripting, security certificates)
    • Contribute to documentation of technical designs of systems

    Skills:

    You own this if you have some or all of the...

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering or equivalent experience
    • 3+ years professional experience in the software engineering industry
    • 3+ years experience with object-oriented languages such as Java or C#
    • Recent experience with Amazon Web Services (DynamoDB, S3, EC2, Fargate, Lambda)
    • Recent experience with Java, Java Spring Boot Framework, Containerization(K8s/Docker)
    • Experience with .Net/.NetCore frameworks
    • Test automation experience at all levels (Unit, Integration, Regression, Load)
    • Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools and pipelines (Gitlab CI/CD, Terraform)
    • Familiarity with ops tools, logging, and metrics (New Relic, Splunk, CloudWatch)
    • Experience with On-perm windows server based deployments is a plus
    • Experience with messaging technologies and patterns (Kafka/SQS) is a plus
    • Experience with event sourcing patterns is a plus
    • Experience in the payment card domain is a plus
    • Experience supporting a 99% uptime application
    • A passion for innovation, clean code, and learning new technologies
