Are you a hands-on, creative, and solution-oriented individual who enjoys working with your hands? If so, you may be our next Machine and Equipment Operator with a focus on paper and print finishing at Silver City.

In this two-year apprenticeship, you will learn the following:


  • Production of packaging materials and displays that protect the product and present it optimally at the point of sale
  • Review of job documents and efficient planning of machine usage
  • Preparation of necessary materials and auxiliary substances
  • Setup, loading, and operation of machines and equipment
  • Monitoring of production process and quality control

Your talents should include:

  • Manual dexterity, interest in technology, and the ability to find practical solutions
  • Good spatial imagination and technical understanding
  • A strong foundation in math and physics, preferably with a good secondary school diploma
  • Teamwork skills and a strong work ethic
As an apprentice at Silver City, you can expect:

  • A comprehensive two-year apprenticeship in an exciting industry
  • Participation in a project week in Switzerland with around 60 other apprentices
  • Opportunities to work on interesting projects in addition to your basic training
  • Reimbursement of travel expenses to vocational school
