Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is looking for an Environmental Test Engineer to join our team in Berkeley, MO. The Boeing Test & Evaluation Midwest Environmental Labs support various defense, space and commercial programs. There are several areas of Environmental Test performed at this location which include: Acoustics, Airflow, Dynamics, Hypersonics, Thermal and Vibration. This position will primarily support Airflow and Thermal Management Systems with occasional support required in other labs. This is a hands on position that will include all facets of the test lifecycle from test design and execution to data review and final reporting.

This role is primarily first shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; associate or mid-level Environmental Test Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assists in demonstrating the effectiveness of test methods
• Develops simple test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk
• Designs component and sub-assembly level hardware and software and uses analytical tools to verify the design
• Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware
• Identifies solutions to basic problems and supports the development of metrology processes, methods, and tools
• Supports development of test debrief material
• Participates in evaluation of test performance data
• Reviews test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
• Alerts senior engineers of off-nominal data
• Prepares test reports for review
• Works under general supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
• Experience in a laboratory test environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• An active U.S. Secret or higher Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
• Experience in project management
• Experience with Environmental test

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level (level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Summary pay range for associate level: $79,900-$108,100

Summary pay range for mid-level: $95,200-$128,800
