A Manufacturing Team Lead is responsible for providing leadership and support to the packaging department, while ensuring packaging performance standards are achieved.

As a Full-Time team member, you would work between 40 and 50 hours per week and overtime may be required.

We operate 24 hours a day, so you will not have a typical schedule. We set industry standards in terms of pay and benefits.

As a Manufacturing Team Lead you can expect to be working on your feet the entirety of your shift near heavy machinery in a loud manufacturing environment.

Frito-Lay manufacturing facilities are large. While we want everyone to feel comfortable, our ability to control the temperature is limited. Indoor working conditions are impacted by seasons and the weather.

After training (a process that can last 8 to 16 weeks), here is a list of the more frequent tasks you could expect to perform:

  • Facilitate PKG venues (pre-shifts, walls, powerwalks, and shift wraps) as the Team s Leader
  • Improve Packaging Performance by leveraging online company tools (ePRM, MES, MOAT, etc.)
  • Support Startups, Changeovers, and Shutdowns of production equipment
  • Participate in daily running venues to develop Packaging Machine Operators
  • Ensure the department is achieving all performance metrics (attainment, waste, etc.)
  • Responsible for the safety of self and all operators within the packaging department
  • Monitor performance of Packaging Machine Operators to include line eff, film waste, etc.)
  • Execute action plans delivered to you by performance & operations managers to elevate the business
  • All other duties as assigned


Frito-Lay has more than 30 highly advanced manufacturing plants across the country, where we convert things like corn and potatoes into delicious snacks for our consumers.

Manufacturing Team Leads work closely to the manufacturing process, which means you should consider potential allergens we work with:
dairy, wheat, soy, garlic, salt, and particular oils (e.g. sunflower). You should also keep in mind that we make popular spicy snacks, like Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Manufacturing Team Leads will be required to follow all Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP s) and safety guidelines.
