Project Coordinator Position Description


Truth Pharm is seeking to fill TWO Project Coordinator positions We want people passionate and driven to end the overdose epidemic.

Role Summary:


As the Project Coordinator at our Harm Reduction Agency, you will be a key team member responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of harm reduction projects aimed at reducing the negative consequences associated with drug use and promoting health and safety among at-risk populations.

Reporting to the Office Manager, you will collaborate with colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders to deliver effective harm reduction services and initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Management:

Take the lead in coordinating all aspects of your assigned projects, from initial planning to final evaluation, ensuring alignment with agency objectives and priorities as well as ensuring we are meeting the requirements of funders, grants or other sources of revenue for the project.


Outreach and Engagement:

Develop and nurture relationships with community members, service providers, and stakeholders to enhance outreach efforts and increase engagement with harm reduction services.


Harm Reduction Services:

Oversee the delivery of harm reduction services as assigned, which may include syringe exchange programs, naloxone distribution, safer injection education, and overdose prevention training, ensuring that services are accessible, responsive, and culturally competent.


Family Support Services:

Oversee the delivery of family support and grief support services as assigned, which may include support coaches, coaching, support groups, resourcing, referrals, education and training, ensuring that services are accessible, responsive, and culturally competent.


Client Support:

Provide direct support and assistance to clients accessing harm reduction services, conducting assessments, offering referrals to additional support services, and providing non-judgmental support in accordance with harm reduction principles.


Capacity Building:

Design and facilitate training sessions and workshops for staff, volunteers, and community members on topics relevant to your assigned projects based on harm reduction principles, practices, and interventions, promoting a culture of learning and skill development within the agency.


Data Management and Analysis:

Collect, analyze, and interpret data on project outcomes, participant demographics, and service utilization, using data-driven insights to inform program planning, decision-making, and quality improvement efforts.


Advocacy:

Advocate for policies and practices that support harm reduction approaches and address the needs of individuals impacted by substance use disorders and related issues, engaging in advocacy efforts at the local, regional, and national levels as well as performing personal advocacy for individuals.


Collaboration:

Collaborate with external agencies, organizations, and government entities to coordinate services, share resources, and advocate for systemic change, fostering partnerships that enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of harm reduction efforts.


Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, protocols, and ethical guidelines governing harm reduction services and activities, maintaining high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct at all times.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, sociology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred), but other degrees and levels of experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience working in harm reduction, substance use disorder treatment, public health, addiction treatment or a related field.
  • Indepth knowledge of harm reduction principles, practices, and interventions, with a commitment to clientcentered care and harm reduction philosophy.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation, with experience using databases and statistical software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced, dynamic environment, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Commitment to upholding confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional boundaries in all interactions.

Reporting Structure:


The Project Coordinator reports directly to the Office Manager and collaborates closely with other members of the Truth Pharm team, including frontline staff, Rainmakers (volunteers), family support coaches, support group facilitators and peer educators.
