Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate licensed Veterinary Technician to provide dental services for our hospital.

As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing dental patients for surgery, dental scaling and examination, dental radiographs, and extractions.

An interest and experience in veterinary dentistry is preferred.


Duties:

• Preparing patients for dental procedures including preanesthetic lab work, IV catheter placement, and anesthetic induction
• Client education surrounding dental procedures and dental health
• Dental prophylaxis including scaling, oral examination, and dental radiographs
• Dental extractions as needed
• Clean and maintain equipment and instruments
• Maintain accurate medical records

Experience:

• Induction and intubation
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Dental scaling and periodontal probing
• Dental radiographs
• IV catheter placement
• Dental extractions
• Gingival suturing
• Client communication

Requirements:

• Current California licensure as a Veterinary Technician
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
• Interest in Veterinary Dentistry
• Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
