    Job Summary
    Performs complex finance functions and uses data analytics to monitor and report on risks and opportunities.

    Provides support in planning, development, formulation and analysis of the University budget and assists managers in the preparation of the short and long-term operating and capital budgets.

    Partners with CSU cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of goals and objectives with budget, forecasts and actuals. Implements best practices and maintains compliance with State and CSU policies and mandates. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
    Minimum Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or related field.
    Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in financial data analysis.
    Prior experience working with PeopleSoft, Oracle, or similar ERP system.
    Experience with BI software such as Tableau, Microsoft BI, or Oracle NetSuite.
    Preferred Qualifications
    Certified Public Accountant certificate
    MBA or advanced degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or related field.
    Higher Education experience using data analysis.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    High level experience with BI software such as Tableau, Microsoft BI or Oracle NetSuite.
    Highly proficient in Excel.
    Knowledge of interpretation and application of current U.S. generally accepted accounting standards.
    Ability to manage ambiguity.
    Demonstrated passion, idealism and positive attitude. Mission-driven, self-directed and committed to the organization's culture and values.
    Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
    Possesses a high level of personal and professional ethics and integrity.
    Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
