Overview


The IT Support position serves as the first point of contact for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software.

Work is usually given in terms of tasks through the helpdesk ticket system. The IT Support position is also responsible for proactively monitoring end-user backups, patches and virus updates.


Key Responsibilities

  • Answering, evaluating, and prioritizing incoming helpdesk requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, phone system and other computerrelated technologies.
  • Remotely supporting offsite employees via phone support and LogMeIn online access.
  • Replacing and configuring new desktops / laptops.
  • Creating and running systemimaging solutions for deployment and remediation of laptops and workstations.
  • Creating new users / resetting passwords in ADS.
  • Onboarding new employees through IT orientation process
  • Responsible for calling for copier support and maintenance.
  • Setting up Teams phones and training new users on phone system.
  • Ordering supplies for printers and basic IT equipment.
  • Responsible for the Verizon Mobile Phone setup and maintenance.
  • Maintaining IT Asset Database software.
  • Maintaining Network Infrastructure / Patch Panels / AP configuration and maintenance.
  • Monitoring virus enterprise server to make sure updates are pushing down to clients.
  • Monitoring Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) to make sure important updates are pushing down to clients on a weekly basis.
  • Monitoring cloud based backup solution for desktops and laptops to make sure clients are backing up daily.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of network operations center and other IT areas.
  • Maintaining office layout and cabling diagrams.
  • Other tasks as required.

Education and Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year previous IT Help desk Support or
  • Diploma from trade college (ITT Tech / Devry)
