Minimal Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
- A Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Social Work, Business Administration, or Finance from an accredited College.
- At least two years of administrative or project management experience.
- Prior experience in planning and development of project initiatives.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently with Microsoft Word products including Excel spreadsheets.
- A thoughtprovoking, highly integrity individual who can problemsolve.
Summary
Responsibilities:
- Conduct prospect search (federal, state, city, and foundation) for funding opportunities to enhance the agency's line of business.
- Meet with the Management Team to prioritize grants and funding opportunities.
- Register with all grant/funding sources (federal, state, city, and foundations) to receive new funding announcements.
- Create a spreadsheet of the funding prospects: funding name, program summary, award amount, intended scope, and due dates for the prospect meeting.
- Complete the Letter of Intent and submit it to the funder to notify them of the agency's intent to apply.
- Coordinate meetings with selected grant writing consultants to discuss funding opportunities.
- Prepare monthly reports and summary reports of proposed, submitted, and resubmitted, appeals, and their status, as requested by the CEO.
- Maintain a Donor's List of individual contributions/donations to the agency.
- Comprise and submit on behalf of the CEO a thank you letter for new awards/funding.
- Tracking of required grant reporting, contract period expiration, or the funding end date.
- New Funding Announcements: Schedule a kickoff meeting with the program manager, finance, and human resources and provide a summary report: funding type, scope, funding period, budget positions, and reporting requirements.
- Serve on the health and fun fair committee to coordinate the activities and sponsorship for the annual event.
- Assist the Assistant to the CEO with tracking MOUs with community service providers. Complete the renewal process.
- Back up to the Marketing Staff with updating the website and social media platforms.
