Essential Functions:


  • Engage guests prestay and onsite to provide opportunities to drive revenue through suggestive selling and guest service.
  • Provides warm, anticipatory service to exceed the needs and expectations of our discerning guests.
  • Provide guests with personalized, high touch service for hotel amenities, special requests, travel, ticket and dining reservations.
  • Host special guest programing, such as the famed Easter Hunt, Yule Tide Christmas activities, teas, programs during the holidays, etc.
  • Provides high quality concierge information to our guests by proactively selling Colonial Williamsburg attractions, restaurants, theatres, special events, tickets, confirmations, and other available services.
  • Offer suggestions to guests about dining in Colonial Williamsburg and the area. Interpret airline, train and bus schedules and make such accommodations when necessary.
  • Develops and maintains strong guest relationships to ensure loyalty.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with business partners, concessionaires, local community and counterparts throughout Colonial Williamsburg.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required and Preferred Education and Experience:

Required:
Completion of high school/G.E.D. plus - 2 years' experience or college-level training in public relations or related field.

Preferred:
Proven knowledge of Colonial Williamsburg systems (OPERA, Open Table, BOS). In-depth knowledge of Colonial Williamsburg area.

  • Ability to demonstrate extreme hospitality and courtesy; handle complaints in a professional and helpful manner.
  • Ability to work with the public, employees and coworkers with tact, courtesy, and patience in stressful situations.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Ability to solve problems and make educated and sound business decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing work priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform task with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- will use Outlook, Word and Excel.
