The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 professions who want to become even better with us. We are currently looking for you for a 3-year apprenticeship as a Track Technician (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO at our location in Frankfurt (Main). In addition, you will attend the BBS Technik II vocational school in Ludwigshafen and our training workshops (1st year in Frankfurt, 2nd and 3rd year also in Ludwigshafen). The theory phases take place in block form. For your commute, you will receive free company travel tickets and, if necessary, a student ticket for Hesse. If needed, we will also take care of accommodation for you. In addition, some trainings and seminars will take place digitally or online. As a Track Technician, you will have varying working hours, but night and weekend shifts will only be expected after completing the apprenticeship.

What to expect in your apprenticeship:
  • You will be working with your team on construction sites, maintaining our tracks and switches, checking for any faults and replacing damaged parts.
  • You will be renewing the stones and gravel layers under the tracks, with the help of modern machines.
  • You will ensure that the tracks are properly aligned to provide a smooth train ride.
