Job Summary:
The Technology Coordinator fulfills the mission of St. Isidore Catholic School by guiding, coordinating, and implementing the overall technology program of the school. The Technology Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance of all school hardware and software, including the school's computer network.
The Technology Coordinator works as a support and mentor to the classroom teachers and provides sources needed to allow for technology as a tool to enhance learning_.
_Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of experience in a school setting as a teacher or administrator
- Strong technology, communication, and organizational skills
- Certificate, degree, or coursework in educational technology preferred
Skills:
- Technical expertise and experience with hardware, software, and systems in use at the school. Specific recommendations include G Suite, ChromeOS, Mac, iOS, PowerSchool, Renaissance Learning, and cloud networking (Meraki).
- Network architecture and components
- Server deployment and configuration (Linux, Docker, etc.)
- Mobile Device Management (Mosyle and Munki)
- Scripting experience highly desired (JavaScript, Python, Bash, etc.)
- Hardware and software troubleshooting
- Time management skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational and presentation skills
Responsibilities:
1. Technology Planning
- Work with administration and advisory board to establish a technology budget
- Work with administration to implement the School Department's Technology Plan
- Ensure the ethical use of technology consistent with the school mission and philosophy
2. Instructional Resource
- Evaluate and recommend new educational technology (hardware, software, & curriculum)
- Assist teachers in identifying appropriate educational technology
- Collaborate with teachers to create technologyrich instructional units
- Model the instruction of technologyrich instructional units
3. Professional Development
- Determine professional development needs of staff and administration.
- Develop professional development content and materials
- Deliver professional development individually or as a group
- Work with site administrator to monitor faculty's progress in meeting Diocesan technology standards
4. Administrative Support
- Support procedures for protecting family and student data, copyrights, and complying with CIPA, FERPA, COPPA.
- Partner with marketing team when necessary to support website, social media, and Google analytics,etc.
- Support office staff and administration in implementing any technology designed to streamline communication or administrative processes.
5. Evaluation
- Work with site administrator to evaluate the effectiveness of teacher integration of technology
- Work with administrator to evaluate annual technology goals
- Assist principal in evaluating teacher completion of annual technology goals and implementation of technology guidelines for students
6. Parent and Family liaison
- Communicate technology developments at school to parents
- Communicate new and emerging educational technologies and trends to parents

1:1 Programs
- Supervise the use of any 1:1 programs
- Maintain schedules as needed for use of computer resources by teachers and classes
- Maintain order and cleanliness of equipment
8. Professional Growth
- Stay informed of new educational technology products, methodologies, and research
- Attend Diocesan Technology Coordinator meetings and trainings, as well as educational technology conferences
- Communicate with other Diocesan technology coordinators to discover best practices, hardware/software sources, etc.
9. Hardware
- Identify, purchase, and install new hardware
- Maintain equipment
- Maintain technology hardware inventory
- Assist with the maintenance of hardware repairs and keep appropriate records
10. Software
- Identify, recommend purchase, and install new software, apps and upgrades
- Secure networks, devices, and user accounts
- Maintain software inventory and documentation
- Ensure copyright law is understood and respected by students and staff
- Support schoolwide databases after initial setup (ex: PowerSchool, Renaissance Learning)

$75, $95,000.00 per year
