Responsible for providing supportive services to hospital Administration and Medical/ Dental/ Podiatric/AHP Staff.

Assists the Medical Staff Manager in ensuring that the operation of the department is in accordance with the Medical Staff policies, Bylaws, Rules & Regulations to assure that only qualified practitioners provide care in the Hospital.


Responsibilities:


  • Provides support services to Hospital Administration and Medical Staff
  • Assist with Credentialing process
  • Maintain knowledge of privileging and credentialing process for medical staff members and allied health members
  • Maintains confidential credentials files and electronic medical staff databases

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalency
  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • 5 years Secretarial/Office experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years in a Medical Affairs Department preferred
  • Experience in MIDAS Credentialing program preferred
