    Description

    HyosungUSA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hyosung Corporation, manufactures tire cord fabric which is sold to tire manufactures globally. Hyosung USA also manufactures fabric for

    mechanical rubber goods and other various product lines. Hyosung USA also manufactures

    Automotive Floor Carpet, the material that covers the entire floor surface of the car's interior.

    The Decatur, Alabama plant is one of many manufacturing facilities owned by the Hyosung

    Corporation.

    The Area Manager

    Directs production distribution and maintenance operations to maximize production quality,

    safety and cost reduction within a designated area of the business center

    Major Responsibilities and Supporting Actions

    1. Enforce all safety policies, procedures and practices. Audit work environment to ensure safe working conditions. Maintains good housekeeping standards.
    2. Direct, assign and coordinate all work in specific area to insure performance meets business center business plan goals and objectives.
    3. Direct, assign and coordinate all maintenance work to minimize equipment variability, increase uptime. Ensure that all operators are trained. Assist team with problem ID/solving to eliminate waste issues.
    4. Listens, develops and counsels associates when required. Constantly recognizes associates performance and teams performance. Apply consistent practices with all associates. Develop the team members.
    5. Answers first step grievances when necessary. Resolves as many issues without having to go through the grievance procedures.
    6. Monitors the training process of the associates. Coordinates the training for the team.
    Experiences REQUIRED:
    • At least 5 years of production experience
    Experiences DESIRED:
    • Textile plant experience in quality, safety, manufacturing and technology
    Must have good listening skills and interpersonal skills. A knowledge of team building, problem

    solving, data analysis, systems implementation, and analytic decision making. Be familiar with

    fabric technology.

    Skills REQUIRED:
    • Ability to lead people, organize workloads, interpret and advise the business center.
    Skills DESIRED:
    • Communication, administrative, organizational and conflict resolution skills.
    • Problem and ID solving techniques.
    This individual must be credible with integrity. Have good communication and listening skills,

    good problem identification and resolution capabilities and good organizational skills.

    Skills REQUIRED: Intermediate Excel
