Description

Program Leadership

The Associate Director of Programs will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of Japan and Asia-wide initiatives, which might include:

  • U.S.Japan Network for the Future
  • U.S.Japan Space Forum

- and potentially other programs as needed

Additional Responsibilities

  • Handle administrative and organizational tasks to ensure smooth program operations
  • Develop and present grant proposals, reports, and concept papers; explore new funding opportunities
  • Offer support and management assistance to fundraising team
  • Maintain accurate and current data in the grant database
  • Travel as required to support program activities

Qualifications

  • Requirements:
  • Master's degree and 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in English is essential
  • Effective problem-solver with a proactive and optimistic approach
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Capability to collaborate with diverse teams across different time zones and cultures, both autonomously and cooperatively
  • Willingness to travel internationally when necessary
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or hold a valid work visa
  • Preferred:
  • Solid background in international exchange programs, Asian studies, or related fields
  • Knowledge of Japanese or Korean languages is advantageous
  • Experience in a cross-cultural professional setting

Salary:

$65,000 - $75,000 per year

Ability to Relocate:
