    We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team for the summer term in Gages Lake, Illinois. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing healthcare support within the school environment. Experience with special education students and families is highly preferred. To be considered, applicants must meet all requirements set forth by local and state regulations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide healthcare services to students and staff members during the summer term, ensuring compliance with local and state health regulations.
    • Conduct health assessments and screenings as necessary, addressing the diverse healthcare needs of students.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, maintaining accurate documentation and records.
    • Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with special needs or chronic medical conditions, in collaboration with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals.
    • Respond promptly to medical emergencies within the school setting, providing immediate care and coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
    • Educate students, families, and staff members on health-related topics, promoting wellness, prevention, and safety.
    • Collaborate with school personnel, including teachers, counselors, and administrators, to support student well-being and success.
    • Maintain confidentiality of student health information and adhere to privacy laws and regulations.
    • Stay current on best practices, trends, and advancements in school nursing and healthcare.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    • Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations, especially special education students, is highly desirable.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, prioritizing student well-being and safety.
    • Proficiency in electronic health records and other healthcare software applications.
