We are searching for someone who shares the same passion and mission to join our dynamic team as the
Administrative Coordinator for the
Building Inclusive Growth (BIG) Lab.

The BIG Lab, a research center in the Department of Economics at the University of Notre Dame, brings some of the world's best researchers together to develop innovative, long-lasting solutions to help vulnerable populations in developing countries.


Your work as the
Administrative Coordinator:


  • key role within the BIG Lab
  • will support the mission in the following ways:
  • Oversee administrative tasks related to the daytoday operations of the research lab.
  • Manage finance functions including budget planning, expense tracking, and grant reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to HR, finance, and research activities.
  • Develop and execute a content strategy for newsletters and social media platforms to disseminate research findings and engage with stakeholders.
  • Write and curate content for newsletters, blog posts, the website, and social media updates, highlighting the lab's research activities and achievements.
  • Monitor social media channels, engage with the audience, and respond to inquiries to foster a sense of community and promote the lab's research.
  • Coordinate and manage projects and events within the lab, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among research team members, including faculty, students, Notre Dame Research and external partners.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential obstacles, and implement effective solutions to ensure successful project completion. Coordinate and manage calendars for team members and conference rooms, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and conference calls, taking into account availability and priorities of all parties involved.

Minimum Qualifications:


Education & Experience:


  • High school diploma or GED
  • 12 years of administrative experience

Skills:


  • Proven experience in project management, with a focus on academic initiatives
  • Strong administrative skills with experience in HR and finance functions within an academic or research setting.
  • Proficiency in content creation for newsletters, blogs, and social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of social media management tools and analytics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detailoriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.
