Disability Community Resource Center (DCRC) is a center committed to help people with disabilities to live a fully-powered and self-directed life.

We navigate individuals to reach their personal, independent living goals, and we believe that all people, regardless of their disability, have the right to enjoy the same full range of life experiences that others in society take for granted.


Responsibilities:


  • Answering product and service questions via live chat; suggesting information about other resources and services.
  • Resolving product or service issues by clarifying the community member's complaint, determining the cause of the issue; selecting and explaining the best solution to the issue.
  • Transferring chats to relevant team members when necessary.
  • Maintaining chat transcripts and other client information for future reference.
  • Actively contributing to team efforts in meeting customer service targets and expectations.

Desired Qualifications:


  • Strong written communication skills, able to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Good computer skills, including a strong familiarity with web chat platforms, CRM software, and Microsoft Office.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent problemsolving abilities and a detailoriented mindset.
  • Experience with customer service highly preferred, but not required.

Nice-To-Haves:


  • Prior experience in a live chat customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of or experience in the disability sector.
  • Ability to type quickly and accurately.
  • Fluency in multiple languages.
  • Familiarity with social services and community resources.
