With over students, FOM is one of the largest universities in Europe and is dedicated to providing education for working professionals.

It is an initiative of the non-profit foundation BildungsCentrum der Wirtschaft, located in Essen. FOM offers working professionals and apprentices the opportunity to study without interrupting or giving up their employment.

The university offers more than 40 practical degree programs in the fields of Business & Management, Business & Psychology, Business & Law, Health & Social Sciences, IT Management, and Engineering.

Classes are offered in various study models at one of the 36 campus centers in Germany and Vienna.

Starting in the winter semester of 2021, the university has also expanded its study options to include Digital Live-Study, where lectures are broadcasted live from state-of-the-art FOM Studios.

All live lectures are also recorded and available for review in a media library. This sets new standards in higher education.

FOM places a strong emphasis on practical relevance: the university maintains close relationships with over cooperation companies, including corporations such as Bertelsmann, IBM, Siemens, and Telekom, as well as many medium-sized companies.
