70% of your time will be in sales and customer service


Tasks include:
Telephone Sales skills and experience (must love working with flowers)

  • Handle incoming sales calls and internet orders
  • Make outbound sales calls to businesses and highincome residences (cold calling, appointment setting)
  • Ability to close a sale, and upsell addons over the phone is a must
Customer Service skills and experience (must love working with people)

  • Assist walkin customers
  • Check out customers in retail storefront.


15% of your time will be office administration duties such as preparing invoices, creating and maintaining customer lists, preparing and distributing marketing material and social media updates.


15% of your time will be shop flower operations including cleaning vases and flowers, making local deliveries (in My Florist vehicle), purchasing supplies, helping set up for events, etc.

Must have proven telephone sales skills.

Not required but if you are bilingual (Farsi, Arabic, Spanish) that is a great asset due to local customer demographics.

We are hiring full-time and part-time positions. If we hire you full-time, we have benefits like health insurance, vacation/holiday pay and retirement contributions.

Must be a good team player and communicator. Ideal position for someone who wants to develop a career in the flower business. Florist/flower business experience is not necessary.


Other Duties:


  • Answer phones in our McLean, VA office daily to ensure that customers are receiving prompt and adequate product information.
  • Communicate with sales team regarding new product availability.
  • Coordinate shipping orders with vendors for timely delivery.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team to coordinate shipping of needed products.
  • Act as the primary contact for customer inquires at our McLean, VA office regarding new product availability.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. College degree preferred. Previous customer service experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, particularly in dealing with others in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision while also being able to provide exceptional customer service when the need arises for direct contact with customers. Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, and operate basic office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
