Description

TRIGO is seeking a 1st shift full time Quality Inspector near and/or around Joliet, IL. This is a 3 month contract.
Reports to

Site Supervisor/Site Leads

Quality Inspector Responsibilities

(To include but not limited to the following)

Client Relationship & Business Development

  • The Quality Inspector acts as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.
Operations

  • The Quality Inspector performs quality inspection / quality audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use.

  • Delivery Quality Audits
  • Contains nonconforming parts and/or subassemblies.
  • Rectifies nonconforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by Team Leader.
  • Uses methods such as derusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify nonconforming material.
  • Determines the tools and equipment needed to do the job.
  • Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and/or subassemblies by using hand tools or equipment.
Organization & Management

  • Communicate sort/inspection results to managers, supervisors and production source.
Technical

  • MUST be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or subassemblies.
  • Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements.

Work experience
Overall recommendations

  • 1+ year in Quality related position.
  • Basic knowledge of materials and production processes.
  • Basic knowledge of quality control methods.
