Who we are looking for


Capital Management, a unit of Global Treasury, is seeking an individual to be responsible for supporting various analytics and internal / external relationships for our Capital planning and strategy team.

Why this role is important to us


Capital Management (a division of Global Treasury) plays a critical role in State Street's organization, both from a business-as-usual (BAU) perspective and with regard to regulatory capital requirements.

Functional areas include capital planning and forecasting, strategy, stress testing, recovery and resolution planning and project management. Capital Management is a key business partner for all client-facing business units, sales teams, and relationship managers.

What you will be responsible for

As a Capital Management Analyst, Officer, you will:

  • Support the analytics and modeling for our monthly capital adequacy assessment process, G-SIB Surcharge forecasting, as well as various capital strategy efforts across the Bank
  • Provide analytical support to address complex regulatory challenges, conduct peer analysis, as well as any other ad-hoc requests
  • Conduct quantitative analysis and create presentations for key decision-makers within Global Treasury and throughout the Bank
  • Support the annual production of our Capital Plan and Capital Policy and Guidelines through analysis, qualitative writing, and presentation preparation
  • Support the management of State Street's rating agency relationships by coordinating materials, preparing presentations, as well providing analytical support for our rating agency counterparts
  • Maintaining risk excellence by challenging assumptions, escalating potential issues and executing required controls to support oversight and governance requirements

These skills will help you succeed in this role- Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively communicate with key external stakeholders as well as create concise and influential presentation materials- Strong quantitative aptitude/skills- Ability to think critically to understand existing problems and identify opportunities for solutions- Ability to interpret and analyze data sets with mínimal direction in a time sensitive environment- Ability to work independently and in a team environment- Strong PC skills, including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint- Knowledge of State Street's capital profile, core business lines, P&L, and balance sheet a plus

  • Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree; Degree in the field of Finance, Accounting or Economics a plus

Salary Range:
$65,000 - $102,500 Annual
