Job Description

As an electronics technician for automation technology in Bristol, you will be responsible for setting up highly complex, computer-controlled industrial systems.

Your main task will be to ensure that all individual components work together seamlessly to form a fully automated system.

This will involve programming and testing the systems, as well as commissioning and maintaining them.

In addition, you will be involved in procuring components and supplies, and supporting technicians and engineers in carrying out their tasks.

This may include installing and configuring programs and operating systems, testing components, and creating device documentation, layouts, and production documents.

Work Environment

You will primarily work in medium to large industrial companies that manufacture, assemble, and maintain electronic systems, devices, or components.

This could include production and manufacturing automation, process automation, network automation, traffic control systems, and building automation. Your work may take place in large production halls, workshops, or small laboratories.

You will also spend time at the computer conducting tests and inspections, and may also be required to work on-site at customer locations for installation and maintenance tasks.
