Kennel Technician - Fort Myers, United States - Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue

Overview:

Duties:

• Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel facility including feeding, watering and turning out dogs for exercise and to relieve themselves
• Spot cleaning and sanitizing of kennels and clean up of dog waste when needed
• Monitor animal condition/behavior in kennels and during playtime and report any concerns to the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Compassionate and patient with animals and punctual with reliable transportation our dogs are counting on you
• Pet sitting, dog walking experience and/or familiarity with dog behavior a plus
• Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (large bags of dog food up to 40 lbs) when required

High School Diploma or GED required. Pay level commensurate with experience.

Ideal Hours are roughly 11am - 6pm in the fall/winter and 12-7pm in the spring/summer 6 days a week totaling no more than 40 hours per week.

MUST work at least 1 weekend day minimum. At times 2 weekend days may be requested for coverage with advance notice.

$ $17.00 per hour
