- Prepare and file complex tax returns on behalf of clients, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and pinpoint deductions and credits to maximize tax benefits for our clients.
- Compile supporting financial statements and documents
- Assist with processing client's payroll, ensuring accurate wage calculations, tax withholdings, deductions, and maintaining records.
- Assist with federal and state tax audits
- Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies
- Maintaining clients financial records, including reconciliations, journal entries, and AP and AR.
- Perform tax research, staying up to date on changes
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a tax focused position.
- Experience in a public accounting firm preferred
- CPA license or intention to pursue CPA preferred
- Experience with bookkeeping software, including QuickBooks and or CCH Axcess
