What to expect


As part of our internal department for accounting and auditing approach, you will work part-time at Mazars (50%) and have time flexibility (50%) for your doctoral studies at a university.

The specific arrangement can be tailored to your needs through individual agreements.


During your practical phases accompanying your doctoral studies, you will support our team in specialized tasks, particularly in consultations on accounting issues according to German GAAP and IFRS.

You will also write articles with the goal of publication in professional journals.

In addition, you will participate in both internal and external consulting projects.


Your responsibilities will also include providing training to our audit colleagues on current developments and changes in the field of accounting.


Ideally, you are currently in discussions with a university chair for accounting or auditing that supports external doctoral studies, or you have already received an acceptance.

Alternatively, we are happy to assist you in finding a suitable cooperation.

What you bring

You are highly motivated, curious, proactive, and have a strong interest in the auditing and consulting industry.


In addition to a completed master's degree, preferably with a focus on auditing, accounting, and/or finance, you have gained initial experience through relevant internships or as a student assistant.

You have in-depth knowledge of accounting according to German GAAP and IFRS and a strong interest in accounting issues.

Your profile is completed by your enjoyment of writing articles and reports
