- Teaching and Mentorship: Dedicate 32 hours weekly to administering the residency program and providing education/supervision to residents. Offer clinical supervision, instruction, and mentorship in outpatient and inpatient settings. Conduct didactic sessions, workshops, and case-based discussions to enhance residents' clinical knowledge and skills.
- Curriculum Development: Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating the family medicine residency curriculum. Work with other faculty members to ensure the curriculum aligns with current best practices and meets accreditation standards.
- Clinical Care: Sustain an active clinical practice in family medicine. Deliver comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including preventive care, acute care, chronic disease management, and health promotion.
- Scholarship and Research: Engage in scholarly pursuits such as research, quality improvement projects, and academic presentations/publications. Support residents in their scholarly endeavors and foster a culture of lifelong learning and inquiry.
- Committee Participation: Engage in departmental and institutional committees as required. Contribute to program leadership, strategic planning, and quality improvement projects.
- Board certification in Family Medicine required
- Eligibility for medical licensure in California
- Experience in providing patient care in a rural or underserved area preferred
- Prior experience in teaching medical students and/or residents preferred
- Salary range: $333,000 - $378,000
