The Executive Director has the overall responsibility for the management and operation of the clinical programs and services provided by the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network hematology oncology medical groups, including but not limited to The Angeles Clinic, The Tower Hematology Oncology Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Valley Oncology.
In this capacity, the Executive Director is responsible for the development and implementation of business plans and provider and programmatic expansion.
Additionally, they are accountable for the quality of service, expense control, and effective management of capital and human resources for all services rendered.
Develops and manages capital and operating budgets; responsible for ongoing process improvement and efficiencies, including effective and innovative resource management, production standards and development of new revenue sources.- Develops business, provider and programmatic expansion and operational plans in collaboration with the CSMCF executive leadership.- Provides overall administrative leadership and operational and clinical management directors, manager, and supervisors.
Responsible for operational and clinical excellence of oncology services and related programs.- Provides departmental oversight of research, laboratory, imaging, infusion, pharmacy, nursing, patient scheduling, facilities, space planning and construction teams.- Oversees the implementation of new programs, initiatives, and policies that are consistent with maximizing revenue, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest quality of patient care and service.- Oversees strategic space planning and construction, onboarding and integration of new clinicians/researchers and efficient monetization of expanded sites and services.- Oversees the delivery of patient care and ensures optimal levels and continuous improvement of clinical and service quality.
Ensures the appropriate staffing, equipment, and resources necessary for optimal patient care.- Monitors patient satisfaction, communicate results to team, leads improvement efforts to ensure sustained results in patient experience.- Recruits peripheral business to increase monthly procedural, treatment, and imaging volumes.- Serves as the liaison between the providers and Physician Billing Service to implement policies and procedures that are consistent with the highest level of billing and collections.- Works collaboratively with Quality Improvement, Population Health, Utilization Management, Risk Management and other medical network departments to maximize clinical performance, minimize risk, and assist the medical network in achieving its quality goals.- Participates on committees and manages special projects as requested by executive leadership.
