Description

This position is looking for a clearable US citizen that is able to work onsite in Hanover, MD 2-3 days/week.

This is a full-time direct hire position that is looking to pay between $100k-$150k/yr depending on experience. This position requires 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and a bachelor's degree. This position is looking to hire ASAP.

DESIRED SKILLSAct as Engineer of Record for designs that are executed under your supervision and directionManage the engineering staff and staff projects adequately and efficientlyDelegating work and supervising staff members as they perform their tasksMaintaining interdisciplinary coordination with other trades/projects consultantsMentoring junior level employees and helping them develop in their professional careersMonitoring correspondence between staff, clients, contractors, owners, etc.

Participating in budgeting, scheduling, and staff managementCommunicate with clients in an engaging mannerSupervising and leading coordination meetingsSupervising preparation of reports and analysis of system options and building conditionsManaging construction administrative duties such as field reports, responses to RFIsAssisting in the preparation of proposals and scope of work documentsAssist with business development and project pursuitsJOB REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering10+ years of experience working in a consulting engineering firmCurrent P.E.

registration as a Mechanical EngineerHistory working with projects such as corporate office, tenant improvements, higher education, science and technology, retail, medical office and manufacturingAbility to fully prepare a construction bid document and all the various phases of the project including the documentation and construction administration phaseHigh-level of proficiency in design and calculation softwareWorking knowledge of Electrical, Structural, and Fire Protection systems to ensure proper design coordinationKnowledge of ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) construction costs and ability to estimate and evaluate construction costsManaging and motivating the engineers in a hybrid work environmentLEED accreditation, preferredLatest version of AutoCAD experience and REVIT experience
