Our client is actively seeking an individual specializing in healthcare datasets, possessing an understanding of healthcare operations, to become an integral part of their dynamic team.

The role will involve structuring and rationalizing data collection for the purpose of creating meaningful insights for the clinical practice.

As a healthcare
Database Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting healthcare data to provide insights and support decision-making processes within the clinical practice.

This is crucial to enhance their capacity to meet evolving business requirements.

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this is an exempt, full-time position located at their NYC headquarters. They offer a competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities:


  • Data Collection: Gather and compile healthcare data from various sources, such as electronic health records (EHRs), claims databases, surveys, and other relevant sources.
  • Data Interpretation: Analyze and interpret the results of data analysis to provide actionable recommendations to healthcare providers, administrators, and other stakeholders. Present findings in a clear and concise manner, using visualizations (dashboards) and reports.
  • Performance Evaluation: Assess the performance of healthcare programs, interventions, and initiatives by analyzing relevant data. Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to enhance healthcare outcomes and efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of healthcare data by implementing data quality control measures. Identify and resolve data inconsistencies or errors.
  • Compliance and Privacy: Adhere to legal and ethical standards related to healthcare data privacy and security. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, researchers, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs, gather business requirements, and provide analytical support. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to address complex healthcare challenges.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of advancements in healthcare analytics, data science, and healthcare policies.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate complex data analysis concepts and findings to both technical and nontechnical audiences. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure datadriven decisionmaking.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • 3 years of electronic health record (NextGen preferred) and database experience (Microsoft SQL preferred).
  • Knowledge of clinical workflows, including proficiency in CPT and ICD10 coding systems.
  • Experience with HL7 v2 or FHIR standards.
  • Experience with interoperability middleware software (e.g. MuleSoft) and experience with SMART API implementation.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities for process optimization.
  • Exceptional clinical business requirements gathering and analysis skills.
  • Advanced expertise in statistics, analytic techniques, and predictive modeling.
  • Understanding of organizational data flow and its impact on decisionmaking.
  • Familiarity with data governance and stewardship best practices.
  • Project Management and Change Management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Education or experience with SQL, MS Power Automate, Crystal Reports and Data Visualization.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools and analytic platforms preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required, CIS, MIS, IS, CS, or relevant field.

Special Considerations:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,825-$105,000 annually.


Pay:
$90, $105,000.00 per year
