Position Summary

The Academic Program Coordinator will report to the Director of Education Programs in the Department of Epidemiology.

The Coordinator will work closely with staff, departmental education leadership, faculty instructors, and students to support multiple aspects of the department's education programs, particularly departmental master's programs and, to some extent, doctoral programs.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with faculty instructors to prepare courses and provide teaching assistant support for courses throughout the semester 25%
  • Support departmentbased Certificates with seminars, events, budgets, expense management, and curricular review and updates 15%
  • Support the MPH student Applied Practice Experience (APEx) program placements and related culminating Master's Student Day events 25%
  • Manage Epi Department alumni relations, including networking opportunities for current students and recruiting alumni for participation in department events 15%
  • Support the department's Master's and Curriculum Committees, including attending meetings, notetaking, reviewing and preparing course syllabi for schoolwide approval, and updating the department website with educationrelated material 15%
  • Perform other related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested, including supporting special education initiatives 5%
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree and 3 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications


A Master's degree in epidemiology or another field of public health is required, as is an interest in Public Health education.
