Specific Responsibilities:
Strategy Execution – Ensures successful execution across of business plans designed to maximize customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share through effective planning, organizing, and on-going evaluation processes
Develop short- and long-term plans to ensure development work meets the needs of the organization
Communicate to CIO and other internal partners on the development team's vision, strategy, metrics, annual goals, and success factors
Building and Leading a Successful Team – Uses an effective interpersonal style to build a cohesive team; inspires and sustains team cohesion and engagement by focusing the team on its mission and importance to the organization
Find and retain the best development talent by implementing a systematic and unbiased approach to finding and growing the team's talent
Define SMART delivery goals in alignment with Functional Leads and App Dev leads.
Partner with peers in other geographies and with the Area-level Region Market Unit Lead to help establish the strategy and operations plans
Share experiences, insights, and best practices to optimize the performance and productivity of project teams across teams and ensure activities are aligned with business strategies and priorities
Managing Application Development Team, Standards, Processes, and Tools – Works with direct reports to facilitate consistency of service delivery across client groups.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the development teams to ensure a high level of quality and user satisfaction
Plan, design, communicate and manage development projects, including tracking and leading the application road maps, systems upgrades and replacements
SDLC standard tools and processes for agile development
Estimating standard tools and processes, incorporating flexibility for small and large projects
Deployment standard tools and processes
Monitors projects for adherence to defined application development processes.
Communicates to leaders, opportunities to create broader IT-related and corporate standards and policies where necessary
Communicates proactively on important application development policy changes that affect service provider and/or internal operations
With the CIO and Technology Team, develop and regularly test comprehensive Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans
Implement and administer critical security controls (tools and processes)
Develop and manage detailed budgets for capital and operational expenses related to development efforts. Actively manage costs to ensure budget adherence and to optimize costs
Monitor and appropriately manage security and system alerts
Ensure regulatory and audit compliance throughout the development life cycle
Ensure project-related resourcing is effectively articulated and monitor project work to identify and address changes to project scopes and/or resource requirements in a timely manner

Education & Experience Requirements:
9-12+ years of experience in software engineering
7+ years of experience with enterprise architecture, software architecture, or design patterns, and Agile practices
7+ years of experience in people management
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience
Leader of a large software development team
One or more certifications in areas that support operations at USGBC (One or more certifications in areas that support operations at USGBC)
Proficiency in managing relationships with off-shore partners, ensuring effective communication and alignment
Expert cloud solutions and applications architect in AWS, including cloud-native design patterns, microservices, event-driven architecture, concurrency, and event storming
Experience with DevOps tools and techniques
Experience implementing OAuth2 and REST APIs
Demonstrated track record that includes:
working closely with Finance departments, ensuring alignment on financial processes, tax compliance, and currency conversions.
leading medium- to large-scale initiatives and business transformations
successfully managing significant system upgrades and replacements, with minimum disruption
maintaining high standards for security and business continuity
selecting vendors and managing them using performance data
collaborating with upper management and other IT and business teams
setting and meeting a budget for the department
Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
Self-directed with a strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making, quality of work, consistent delivery of superior services and products
Focused on customer service and obsessed with quality
