The Medical Faculty is an integral part of the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg and collaborates with the University Hospital Magdeburg A.ö.R.

in research, teaching, and patient care.

The research profile of the faculty is characterized by the two main focuses "Immunology including Molecular Medicine of Inflammation" and "Neurosciences".

Approximately 185 students are enrolled in the Human Medicine program and around 20 students in the Master's program in Immunology each year.
