Main Purpose of Job:

The main purpose of this full-time position will be to direct the Administration Division of St. Mary's County Health Department.


This includes the Fiscal Services Department, Medical Assistance Transportation Program, Physical Plant/Facility functions for 27,000 square foot facility and three other satellite locations, Timekeeping/Payroll, Human Resources, Central Medical and Vital Records Department, telecommunications, Fleet Vehicle and Maintenance Program, and Front Desk.


This position will oversee and manage the financial and administrative resources for the agency as well as act in a key management role working with the Health Officer, Deputy Health Officer, Division and Program Directors to plan, implement and assess new fiscal, HR, and administrative initiatives and services.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master's degree will substitute for one year of general experience. A Doctorate degree will substitute for two years of general experience. Additional experience will substitute on a year-for-year basis for the college degree.
