COST ACCOUNTANT ($85,000-$95,000 annual salary DOE)

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain a cost system that ensures accurate costing
  • Prepare project cost reports and variance analysis
  • Update standard costs and ensure accuracy in the Bill of Materials (BOM's)
  • Study and collect data to determine the costs of business activities such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor
  • Month, quarter, and annual closing procedures related to cost accounting responsibility
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts timely and accurately
  • Process wire transfers/ACH payments.
  • Create and update documentation of assigned processes as needed

Skills Needed for Success:


  • Solid financial acumen
  • SAP experience greatly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
  • Three years experience in manufacturing cost accounting
  • Enterprise resource planning (ERP) business management software experience
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP as it applies to a manufacturing environment
  • Authorized for employment in the United States (sponsorships not available)
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday 9am5pm
