SUMMARY
Verifies cans are being sealed in accordance with regulations, SQF and Good Manufacturing Principles.


Key Result Areas (KRA's) include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


MIC Operations:


1. Completes can tear-downs on two lines every 3 hours, or when the line has changed to a

different type or size of can. Records verification of every can tear-down.

2. Visually checks both lines every 1/2 hour.

3. Performs vacuum check on both lines every 1/2 hour.

4. Ability to perform seam tear downs manually and/or using seam scope software.

Quality Assurance:

• Completes can tear-down after mechanical breakdown, or seamer jam.
• Opens damaged cans and returns product to the line (Approx hours per day).
• Communicates with QA and mechanic if cans are not seamed properly.
• Performs other duties and assist other team members as required.

Safety:

• Attends and participates in departmental safety meetings.
• Understands the safety requirements that pertain to the job.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required. 6 months of manufacturing experience, highly preferred.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


REASONING ABILITY
Ability to carry out simple one
- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with routine situations.

Must be able to work Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays, and other shifts and overtime as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and extreme heat.

The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold; and risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
