Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist for an immediate opening in Northwest Indiana. This is a contract position with an quick start, initially set for 13 weeks with the possibility of extension. The position primarily involves day shifts, with occasional second shifts as needed. The ideal candidates will possess an Indiana Pharmacist license and be available for full-time work immediately. Hospital experience and familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems are highly desirable. Duties and Responsibilities:

Accurately dispense medications to patients and provide information on proper usage, side effects, and storage.
Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate drug therapy.
Maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in documentation.
Manage and oversee the safe and effective use of pharmacy automation systems, including EPIC and Pyxis.
Provide clinical consultation to healthcare professionals and patients.
Monitor drug therapies for interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug and dose.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to the practice of pharmacy.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous education activities.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.

Requirements:

Active Indiana Pharmacist license.
Immediate availability for fulltime employment.
Previous hospital pharmacy experience is highly preferred.
Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems is a significant advantage.
