The Assistant Partnerships Director is responsible for data entry, problem solving issues that arise with

partnership participants, assisting with evacuations, driving to and from activity sites, answering phones and

camper partner or non-partner is cared for in a manner appropriate to a camper's wellbeing as well as

and manage systems, able to supervise others effectively, and truly enjoys working with families and children of

various Frost Valley programs.

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
:

Assist Frost Valley Partnerships Director with all day-to-day responsibilities and logistics, including, but
- management on the Summer Camp team.

  • Working alongside the Summer Camp Directors to assist in concerns or issues for partnership
- participants and diligently relaying details needed to Partnerships Director

  • Collaboratively working with Partnership Director to enhance DEIB work i.e. assisting in training
  • Dimensions of Diversity and camper advocacy
  • Cultivation.
  • Data Entry and information gathering for partnership surveys and data collection or Development
- grants

  • Be an active member of a team, including, but not limited to, appropriately giving your opinion, taking
- on delegated responsibilities, and helping to maintain the physical, emotional, and mental health of each
- team member.

  • Will assist in oncall summer camp responsibilities.
  • Be a positive role model for fellow staff and campers at all times. This includes modeling acceptable
- behavior, language, Frost Valley's core values, and outdoor standards.

  • Ensure that Frost Valley Resident Camp achieves the highest standard and meets the mission and goals
- of both the Summer Camp Department and Frost Valley YMCA, as well as the expectations of customers.

Requirements:


  • QUALIFICATIONS
:


  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must possess a clean, valid U.S. driver's license for the length of the position. Driving records must
- be approved prior to official acceptance.

  • Minimum First Aid & CPR certification required. Certifications must be valid from July 1, 2024,
- through August 25, 2024, and an actual, signed card/certification must be provided to your
- respective Director prior to arrival at camp.

  • Experience working with campers ages 716 in an outdoor setting
  • Able to help campers as well as parents through issues that commonly occur in a summer camp
- setting (homesickness, bullying, etc.)

  • Able to coach and communicate in a positive way with summer camp middle management,
- counselors as well as full-time support staff, and their respective department heads.

  • Ability to be flexible to sudden changes in schedule, staff and campers.
  • Prior experience with logístical planning.
  • Possess strong camping industry knowledge.
  • Be very highly detailoriented, safetyconscious, and logístically savvy.
  • Excellent management, customer service, communication, group facilitation, organizational, and
- supervisory experience required.

  • Ability to work very long hours under high stress is a must.
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Be a strong leader and work well with a team of others
  • Be able to multitask and handle pressure well

  • The employee frequently is required to walk throughout camp, sit and reach.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

RATE OF PAY:

$675 weekly plus room and board
