Patient Service Coordinator Position - Gynecology

Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm


Position Type:
Full Time 37.5 hours


Hiring Time Frame:
Hiring Immediately


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Professionally and efficiently answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and call patients
  • Greet all patients and visitors in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Responsible for loading or confirming insurance, demographic, and pharmacy information into the EMR system
  • Provide administrative support to one or more physician
  • Provide administrative support for medical matters on behalf of the physician
  • Provide quality service and support in a variety of areas which may include, but is not limited to, scheduling, registration, and care coordination
  • Schedule and coordinate referrals, prescription refills, and lab testing for patients.
  • Provide instructions to patients on pretesting procedures and preparing paperwork as needed
  • Provide quality support and assistance to patients accessing EMR Portal and explain portal messaging
  • Enter daily charges accurately and punctually
  • Responsible for collecting copays and outstanding balances from patients
  • Responsible for managing all documents by scanning, filing, faxing, and uploading during each patient checkin
  • Responsible for maintaining a neat and organized work area
  • Provide backup support or leave coverage to other patient service coordinators
  • Other duties as assigned by management or physicians

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:


  • High School Diploma
  • Must have experience with gynecology specialty
  • Minimum of twoyear work experience in a medical office
  • Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of insurance terminology and insurance plans required
  • Customer service skills required
  • Computer and Technology Skills required
  • Organizational Skills and proofreading skills required
  • Demonstrated ability for selfdirection, initiation, and handling of multiple tasks required
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team required
  • Prior eClinicalWorks experience is preferred
  • Prior EPIC experience is preferred
  • Proves stability in previous positions REQUIRED

Pay:
$ $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
